Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 13, 2026  ·  Operator: Wealth Building Academy LLC (Illinois LLC)

TaxSaveIQ is owned and operated by Wealth Building Academy LLC, an Illinois limited liability company (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect information when you access or use TaxSaveIQ, including our website, calculators, reports, educational tools, AI-assisted explanations, and related services. By using TaxSaveIQ, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the website.

The short version: TaxSaveIQ has no accounts and no logins. The only personal information we collect is an email address that you may optionally provide when you download a PDF of your results. Everything you type into a calculator stays in your browser — it is never sent to or stored on our servers.

1. Important Notice About Tax and Financial Information

TaxSaveIQ provides educational tax calculators and planning scenarios. It is not intended to collect or store complete tax returns, Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, bank account numbers, credit card numbers, full employer records, payroll files, tax transcripts, IRS notices, or other highly sensitive documents.

You should not enter highly sensitive personal information into TaxSaveIQ unless specifically requested and necessary for a feature we clearly provide.

TaxSaveIQ is designed to help users estimate and save educational tax scenarios, not to replace tax preparation software, professional tax advice, legal advice, accounting advice, investment advice, payroll advice, or financial planning advice.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information.

A. Email Address (Optional)

TaxSaveIQ has no accounts and no logins. The one piece of personal information we may store is an email address, and only if you choose to enter it when downloading a PDF of your results. When you do, we store:

  • the email address you enter;
  • which calculator you used;
  • the date and time you submitted it;

This is optional. Every calculator also offers a “No thanks, just download” option that downloads your PDF without giving us an email. We use the email only to send you the PDF and occasional tax tips, and you can unsubscribe at any time. We store these opt-ins using Supabase, written only by our server.

B. Calculator Inputs

When you use our calculators, you may enter information such as:

  • tax year;
  • filing status;
  • state of residence;
  • W-2 wages;
  • self-employment income;
  • short-term capital gains;
  • long-term capital gains;
  • qualified dividends;
  • other income;
  • dependents;
  • deduction information;
  • itemized deduction amounts;
  • 401(k), IRA, HSA, FSA, and dependent care FSA contribution information;
  • business-related inputs;
  • home office estimates;
  • mileage estimates;
  • Section 179 or depreciation-related estimates;
  • other planning scenario inputs;

These inputs are processed entirely in your browser to produce your estimate and your PDF. They are never sent to or stored on our servers, and they are not tied to your email even if you provide one. Closing or refreshing the tab clears them.

C. Payment Information

If we later offer paid plans, payment information may be collected and processed by a third-party payment provider such as Stripe. We do not intend to directly store full credit card numbers on our servers. Payment processors may collect payment details, billing addresses, transaction information, subscription status, and payment history under their own privacy and security practices.

D. Communications

If you contact us, request support, submit feedback, or communicate with us, we may collect:

  • name;
  • email address;
  • message content;
  • support request details;
  • screenshots or files you choose to provide;
  • communication history;

E. Technical and Usage Information

We may collect technical information such as:

  • IP address;
  • browser type;
  • device type;
  • operating system;
  • referring page;
  • pages visited;
  • date and time of visit;
  • approximate location derived from IP address;
  • performance data;
  • error logs;
  • feature usage;
  • session activity;
  • clicks and navigation patterns;

This may be collected through hosting providers, analytics providers, logging tools, or security tools.

We use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics 4) to understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the product. We do not intentionally send personal tax inputs — such as income amounts, tax results, or filing details — to analytics platforms. Analytics data is collected at the aggregate level to understand which features are used and how the product can be improved.

F. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies to:

  • remember preferences;
  • protect against fraud or abuse;
  • understand website performance;
  • analyze usage;
  • improve user experience;

We do not use cookies for accounts or logins, because TaxSaveIQ has neither.

3. Information We Do Not Intend to Collect

TaxSaveIQ is not designed to collect:

  • Social Security numbers;
  • full tax returns;
  • IRS account transcripts;
  • bank account numbers;
  • credit card numbers directly;
  • driver's license numbers;
  • passport numbers;
  • full payroll files;
  • medical records;
  • protected health information;
  • complete employer benefit documents;
  • children's personal information;

If you accidentally enter unnecessary sensitive information, you are responsible for removing it where the platform allows or contacting us to request deletion.

4. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

  • provide tax calculators and educational tools;
  • calculate educational estimates in your browser;
  • generate the PDF you request;
  • email you the PDF and occasional tax tips if you opt in;
  • provide contribution opportunity indicators;
  • improve calculator accuracy and usability;
  • troubleshoot bugs and technical problems;
  • respond to support requests;
  • prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access;
  • maintain website security;
  • analyze aggregate product usage;
  • develop new features;
  • communicate service updates;
  • comply with legal obligations;
  • enforce our Terms of Use and disclaimers;

We do not use TaxSaveIQ information to prepare or file tax returns.

5. Legal Bases and Business Purposes

Depending on applicable law, we may process information for the following purposes:

  • to provide services requested by the user;
  • to deliver the PDF you request;
  • to perform website functionality;
  • to improve and secure the platform;
  • to comply with legal obligations;
  • to protect rights and prevent misuse;
  • to support legitimate business operations;
  • with consent where required;

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your information. Your calculator inputs never leave your browser, so there is nothing there for us to share or sell.

We may share the limited information we do hold (an optional email address, support messages, and technical/usage data) in the circumstances below.

A. Service Providers

We may share information with service providers that help us operate TaxSaveIQ, including:

  • hosting providers;
  • database providers;
  • authentication providers;
  • analytics providers;
  • payment processors;
  • email providers;
  • security tools;
  • logging and monitoring providers;
  • customer support tools;
  • AI or automation providers if enabled later;

These providers may process information on our behalf.

B. Legal and Compliance Purposes

We may disclose information if required or permitted by law, including to:

  • comply with legal process;
  • respond to lawful requests;
  • protect rights, safety, and property;
  • investigate misuse or fraud;
  • enforce terms;
  • comply with tax, business, regulatory, or security obligations;

C. Business Transfers

If Wealth Building Academy LLC or TaxSaveIQ is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, asset sale, reorganization, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

D. With Your Consent

We may share information with your consent or at your direction.

7. Third-Party Services

TaxSaveIQ may rely on third-party services, including but not limited to:

  • Vercel for hosting and deployment;
  • Supabase for storing optional email opt-ins;
  • domain/DNS providers;
  • analytics providers;
  • payment processors;
  • AI service providers for calculator explanations;
  • email or support platforms;

These third-party providers may collect or process information according to their own privacy policies and terms. We are not responsible for the privacy or security practices of third-party services that we do not control.

8. Supabase (Email Opt-ins)

TaxSaveIQ uses Supabase to store the optional email opt-ins described in Section 2.A. We do not use Supabase for accounts or authentication — there are none.

For an email opt-in, Supabase stores only:

  • the email address you entered;
  • which calculator you used;
  • a timestamp;

These records are written only by our server and are not exposed to public access. No technical system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Cookies and Sessions

TaxSaveIQ has no sign-in, so we use no authentication or login cookies. Any cookies or storage are limited to preferences, security, and aggregate analytics as described above.

10. Analytics and Tracking

We may use analytics tools to understand:

  • number of visitors;
  • pages visited;
  • calculator usage;
  • button clicks;
  • PDF download events;
  • general performance metrics;
  • error trends;

Analytics help us improve the website. We do not use analytics to collect complete tax return information or highly sensitive personal information. If we add analytics tools, we may update this Privacy Policy with additional details.

11. AI-Assisted Features

TaxSaveIQ may add AI-assisted features in the future, such as:

  • plain-English explanation of calculator results;
  • educational tax concept summaries;
  • planning scenario explanations;
  • report summaries;
  • question-and-answer functionality;

If AI-assisted features are enabled, information you submit to those features may be processed by third-party AI service providers.

You should not submit Social Security numbers, full tax returns, bank account numbers, medical information, or other highly sensitive information into AI features.

AI-assisted content is for educational purposes only and should not be treated as professional advice. We may update this Privacy Policy before launching production AI features.

12. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. These may include:

  • server-only database access (no public read access);
  • database access controls;
  • encrypted transmission where supported;
  • secure hosting providers;
  • limited access to production data;
  • environment variable protection;
  • monitoring and logging;
  • security-conscious development practices;

However, no website, database, network, hosting provider, authentication provider, or internet transmission is completely secure.

13. Data Retention

We may retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • retain optional email opt-ins until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them;
  • comply with legal obligations;
  • resolve disputes;
  • enforce agreements;
  • maintain security;
  • improve the platform;

Because your calculator inputs are never stored on our servers, there is nothing for us to retain there. If you ask us to delete your email, we may delete or de-identify it, subject to legal, security, backup, and operational requirements. Backups and logs may persist for a limited time before being deleted according to our service providers’ retention schedules.

14. User Choices and Controls

You can:

  • use every calculator without giving us any personal information;
  • download your PDF without an email via “No thanks, just download”;
  • unsubscribe from emails at any time;
  • request that we delete your email address;
  • opt out of non-essential communications;

To request deletion of your email or any data, contact us using the contact information below.

15. Deleting Your Email

If you want us to delete your email address, contact us at:

dk@wealthbuildingacademy.net

We may need to verify your identity before processing the request. Deletion may not be immediate if information is stored in backups, logs, or systems maintained by third-party providers.

16. Children’s Privacy

TaxSaveIQ is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

17. California and Other State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence and applicable law, you may have rights to request:

  • access to personal information;
  • correction of personal information;
  • deletion of personal information;
  • information about categories of data collected;
  • information about categories of data disclosed;
  • opt-out of certain sharing or targeted advertising;
  • limitation of certain sensitive data uses;

TaxSaveIQ is an early-stage platform and may not be subject to every state privacy law threshold. However, we will make reasonable efforts to respond to privacy requests.

Submit privacy requests to: dk@wealthbuildingacademy.net

18. Illinois Privacy and Data Breach Notice

Wealth Building Academy LLC is registered in Illinois. Illinois has data breach notification requirements for certain businesses that experience a security breach involving personal information. If we determine that a breach requiring notice has occurred, we will provide notices as required by applicable law.

19. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no consistent industry standard for responding to these signals, TaxSaveIQ may not respond to Do Not Track signals at this time. If we later implement tools that allow user-level privacy preferences, we may update this section.

20. Marketing Communications

If you opt in at PDF download, we may send your PDF and occasional tax tips. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in any email or by contacting us. We may still send non-marketing messages related to security, terms, or service updates.

21. Data Transfers

Our service providers may process and store information in the United States or other locations. By using TaxSaveIQ, you understand that information may be processed in locations where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

22. Links to Other Websites

TaxSaveIQ may link to third-party websites, including government websites, tax resources, articles, tools, and professional resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, accuracy, or content of third-party websites. Review the privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit.

23. Professional Users and Client Data

Tax professionals, advisors, bookkeepers, accountants, coaches, consultants, or other professional users should not enter a client’s personal tax data into TaxSaveIQ unless they have proper authorization and comply with all applicable professional, legal, ethical, privacy, and data security obligations.

TaxSaveIQ is not designed to serve as a professional tax workpaper management system or secure client document vault.

24. Sensitive Information Warning

Do not enter unnecessary sensitive information into TaxSaveIQ, including:

  • Social Security numbers;
  • taxpayer identification numbers;
  • bank account numbers;
  • credit card numbers;
  • full tax returns;
  • IRS notices;
  • medical records;
  • driver's license numbers;
  • passport numbers;
  • employer payroll files;
  • complete financial statements;
  • login credentials for other services;

If future features require additional sensitive information, we will update disclosures accordingly.

25. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update it, we will revise the “Effective Date” at the top. Your continued use of TaxSaveIQ after changes are posted means you accept the updated Privacy Policy. Material changes may be communicated through the website, email, account notice, or other reasonable methods.
